One Hundred Book Challenge

Wrapping up my posts for this year challenges I still need to report on two more challenges that I have been working on from the sidelines.

This challenge is hosted by J. Kaye Book blog and you an sign up at the 100+ Reading Challenge Blog.

The One Hundred plus Reading Challenge is an extreme challenge for those casual readers. There is just one rule and that is to reach the goal of reading 100 books in 2008. For the last four years I have successfully met that goal so I'm hoping that I will be able to complete this one with out a problem. I am well on my way so I think I'm good.

Have you read over 100 books in a year? That would be 1 book every 3.65 days. Was it difficult to pass the 100 mark? If you didn't get there, What was the most books you ever read in a year?

100 is pretty easy for me, and if nothing changes between now and the end of the year then I will probably make 200.

I think the most I have read in a year is 237 a couple of years ago.

I would have easily reached that goal last year but now I have cable...that darn TV is so much fun, no wonder people become couch potatoes! I have to go back to network TV... it's so boring that I get loads of stuff done; and I might reach that 100 book goal!

Welcome to the 100+ Reading Challenge! :-D I have posted your link on the right sidebar of the blog. Another thing I am doing something, at least I think it is. I'd like to start posting the participating members favorite book for each month on the blog. Jan - April are already up. If you send me your favorite book and author of the book for those months, I’ll post it in the photo slider.

You are also welcome to chat with us on the Yahoo Groups. The link can be found at http://100-book-challenge.blogspot.com/

Best of luck and above all, have fun!
